My grace is sufficient for thee

Some few but powerful words from Scripture. From Paul’s second letter to the church at Corinth, 2 Corinthians 12:9:

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

The cross of Jesus is the ultimate weakness, as seen by those who favor earthly dominance and power over the keys to the kingdom of God. And it is in that ultimate weakness that we find a strength that is beyond human terms.

We are made strong, stronger than any earthly billionaire or politician or potentate. Our strength comes from His grace, which is sufficient for thee, and for me.

Partake of the Sabbath this day; worship God through His Son; be thankful for the weakness through which God showed His ultimate strength. I know that I am.
